The
48th Annual National Student
Research Forum (NSRF) will
be held at the University
of Texas Medical Branch
in Galveston, Texas, on
April 26-27, 2007. Visit our site for information or view our flyer.
The NSRF provides a national
forum for presentation of
outstanding research by
medical students, interns,
residents, and graduate
students in the health sciences.
The program also recognizes
research accomplishments
by means of awards as determined
by the evaluations of medical
scientists and the co-directors.
I am writing to you on behalf
of the 2006-2007 Co-Directors
asking that you forward
this information throughout
your institution. We extend
this opportunity for young
scientists to receive meaningful
and pertinent evaluation
of their research efforts
from their peers and established
scientists in a forum meeting
the highest possible standards.
We would greatly appreciate
if you would please forward
this information to medical
and graduate students in
your program areas.
In order to maintain the
broad scope of clinical
and basic research presentations,
we coordinate activities
with the three regional
forums and work to maintain
relationships with local
forums. The deadline
for NSRF abstract submissions
is January
12, 2007. Please
visit www.utmb.edu/nsrf
for the application and
event details. Abstract
submissions are to be sent
to k.barfield@utmb.edu
with attention directed
to Kimberly Barfield.
Thank you for your time,
and assistance in providing
this exciting opportunity
to your students, colleagues,
and fellow researchers.
